LVIB’s “BOWLING IN THE DARK,” originally scheduled for October 15, has been postponed due to Hurricane Milton. A new date will be announced asap.

Lighthouse’s Bowling in the Dark is a fun, family-friendly, fundraising event that challenges your bowling expertise. Your team of 4 is assigned a Vision Loss Expert who is either an LVIB staff person who has a vision impairment or a client. Having an VLE on your team can help during frames 3, 6 and 9 because sighted players will be wearing blindfolds!

To make it even more exciting, you can purchase Gutter Ball Buy Backs for instant do-overs during the blindfolded frames, giving you a chance to improve your score while supporting a great cause.
Bumpers may be available if we get a kids’ team.
If you are unable to attend, we have special sponsorships for you: Perfect Game, Six Pack, and Anchor!

In addition to 3 games of bowling, there is also a silent auction and an awards’ ceremony and dessert. Play hard if you want to win some bling!

At Bowling in the Dark, we will also recognize White Cane Awareness Day which is an annual observance held on October 15 across the nation. All proceeds from Bowling in the Dark benefit Lighthouse programs and services so we can meet our mission of educating, empowering, and employing people who are visually impaired and blind.
