Individuals and families who experience blindness or loss of vision often experience a loss of hope and self-confidence. Through individual adjustment to blindness counseling, participation in support groups, independent living classes, orientation and mobility training, job readiness training, Braille, computer-related assistive technology, and recreation activities, persons who are visually impaired are able to find possibilities in what seemed an impossible situation.

New Independent Living Programs begin on a regular basis. In most instances we can provide a ride for services. Please ask for details.

Lighthouse services are provided at no cost to clients and their families through the generosity of our donors. The Lighthouse receives partial funding from the Florida Division of Blind Services, the United Way of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Pasco County Commissioners, and private donations. We currently serve Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties. Who is Eligible for services? Check out the Eligibility Requirements.
